PaintingsBooklet of 6 StampsSweden, 1992
Sweden issued this stamp booklet, containing a single booklet pane of six different mint stamps, on Aug. 27, 1992, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Sweden's National Museum of Fine Arts. The stamps feature the following paintings: "The Triumph of Venus" (Francois Boucher, "Portrait of a girl" (Albrecht Durer), "Rorstrand Vase" (Erik Wahlberg), "Motif from the Seine/The Tree and the River Bend III" (Carl Fredrik Hill), and "Sergel in His Studio" (Carl Larsson). $13.50 retail value (Scott 2008 Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue, Vol. 6).

The top image (above) is a close-up enlarged (scanned at 125% of actual size) image of the six-stamp booklet pane contained within this booklet. The bottom image is a reduced image of the outside of the unfolded booklet cover. The text (Swedish) is a message from Olle Granath, the Director of the National Museum of Fine Arts. The same message is reproduced in English on the inside of the booklet cover. The engravers of each stamp (including the famous engraver Czeslaw Slania) are also listed on the inside of the booklet cover.

The folded booklet measures 94.5 x 125 mm (3.72" x 4.92"); unfolded, the booklet measures 94.5 x 250 mM.
