This "never folded" booklet pane of four traditional Christmas stamps, issued on Oct. 21, 1993, features the painting "Madonna and Child in a Landscape" by Giovanni Battista Cima. Note that the booklet pane term "never folded" means that the pane was never glued into a booklet & folded; unfolded panes were not available over post office counters or vending machines and, being in pristine condition, bring a premium. The 1993 se-tenant contemporary Christmas stamps were also issued on October 28, 1993, in a coil format (roll of stamps). This issue represents the first time U.S. Christmas stamps were produced in a coil format. Offered here is a mint coil strip of four self-adhesive stamps on the original backing paper; each of the four issued stamp designs are included.
