In 2012, Canada Post celebrated the artwork of Canadian sculptor Joe Fafard with the release of three stamps (in a variety of formats; see item number AR121 for a sheet of the three stamps). The item offered here is an official first day of issue cover (envelope) for stamp featuring his sculpture "Smoothly She Shifted." Fafard was a master of a variety of media; the artwork on the envelope is his charcoal portrait of the horse "Fancy" (1980).
