This October 26, 1963 issue commemorated the 100th anniversary of city mail delivery. Before 1863, letter recipients would generally pick up their mail at the post office (you may have seen old letters with an address listing only a name, town, and state- no address was needed). Ghana issued this attractive mint sheet of four stamps on March 18, 2004, to honor Norman Rockwell (1894-1978) on the 25th Anniversary of his death. With Scouting in the U.S. as the theme, the sheet features paintings by Rockwell from a 1971 Boy Scout calender. The stamps feature a female scout leader, a Webelo, a Boy Scout, and a Cub Scout. The selvage of the sheet shows additional scouts (various levels) and leaders.
