Russia issued this strip of five mint stamps on May 25, 1990, to commemorate the World Cup Soccer championships held in Italy that year. The stamps feature various soccer players in action and the "Italia '90" emblem.

The actual size of this strip of five stamps, supplied with selvage attached at left and right, is 210mm x 26.5mm (8.27" x 1.04"). If the selvage at left and right is removed (by customer), the strip measures 185mm x 26.5mm.
