Hungary commemorated the 10th Winter Olympics, hosted by Grenoble, France (February 6-18, 1968), with issuance of this complete mint set of nine stamps. One of the nine stamps (the highest denomination) is in a souvenir sheet format. The following sports are featured: figure skating (pair), bobsledding, slalom, women's figure skating, speed skating, ski jump, and ice hockey. The souvenir sheet was issued on Dec. 30, 1967; the remaining eight stamps were issued on Jan. 29, 1968. The retail value of this set is $5.30 (Scott 2010 Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue, Vol. 3).

The actual size of each diamond-shaped stamp is 61 x 61 mm; the souvenir sheet measures 99 x 105 mm.
