Edward G. Robinson - Mint Sheet 6th in Legends of Hollywood Series United States, 2000
This sheet of 20 mint stamps, issued on October 24, 2000 to pay tribute to Edward G. Robinson, is the scarcest of the USPS Legends of Hollywood issues. The stamps feature a portrait of Robinson by Drew Struzan (based on a black-and-white photograph taken by Elmer Fryer, probably in the 1930s) while the sheet selvage includes a film scene and the following short biography: "Edward G. Robinson (1893-1973), stage and screen actor, renowned art collector, philanthropist, and humanitarian, is best remembered for his classic portrayals of gangsters in Little Caesar (1931) and several other films. The versatile actor appeared in some 90 movies, including Double Indemnity (1944) and Key Largo (1948). He received an Academy Award for lifetime achievement in films in 1973."

The actual size of this 20-stamp sheet sheet is 185mm x 222mm (7.28" x 8.74").
