Issued in 1999, these six mint stamps and souvenir sheet feature various ornate chess men from classic sets: Rook (India, 1790), Bishop (Austria, 1848), King (Java, IX Century), Knight (England, 1850), Rook (United States, 1859), Queen (China, s. XVII), and a Jacques "Staunton" King (Germany, 1849). The souvenir sheet measures 108mm x 82mm; the individual stamps measure 47mm x 31.5mm.
