This 50-stamp mint sheet, issued by the United States on February 23, 1976, includes the flag of each state on separate stamps. The flags are arranged in the order of the state's admission to the union. Each stamp includes the inscription "Bicentennial Era 1776 - 1976" and the U.S. Bicentennial emblem. This sheet was scanned at 70% of the actual size to produce the above image; the actual size of the sheet is 239mm x 210mm. Note that the full sheet did not fit within our scanner window, so a portion of the selvage (the portion of the sheet containing the plate numbers) is not shown in the image.
