New Zealand, 1958. Details  Issued by New Zealand on Aug. 20, 1958, this set of two mint stamps commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Boy's Brigade in New Zealand. The green stamp features a Girls' Life Brigade Cadet (an off-shoot of the Boy's Brigade); the ultramarine stamp features Boy's Brigade Bugler. Price: $0.40   Item ID: SC41 Boy Scouts. Guinea, 1998. Details  This attractive mint Boy Scouts stamp souvenir sheet was issued by Guinea in 1998 to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts. The sheet features scouts in front of a tent and surrounding a camp fire. Price: $2.20   Item ID: SC38 Boy Scouts. United States, 1950. Details  This mint stamp, issued by the United States on June 30, 1950, honored the 40th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America, and the second National Jamboree at Valley Forge, PA (my Dad attended this Jamboree!). The organization was incorporated on Feb. 8, 1910 and was formed by uniting Ernest Thompson Seton's "Woodcraft Indians" with Daniel Beard's "Sons of Daniel Boone," with ideas from the English program of Lord Robert Baden-Powell. Details  Issued on Nov. 22, 1974 by Guinea, this set of six mint stamps commemorates Guinea's National Pioneer Movement. This attractive set features a rope bridge activity, field observation, communication, cooking in camp, a salute, and basketball.
