The stamps feature "Dante" by Raphael, and the following by Botticelli: Dante and the 3 beasts at entrance to the inferno, Dante and Virgil at entrance to Purgatory, and Dante and Beatrice in Paradise.

The stamps feature Pope John XXIII opening the Vatican II council, an ancient Bible on ornate display stamd, Bishops celebrating Mass, Pope Paul VI greeting Patriarch Athenagoras I, gold ring given to participating bishops, and Pope Paul VI carried in front of St. Peter's.
