Malta, a republic within the British Commonwealth, honored Queen Elizabeth II with this set of three mint stamps upon her visit to the country (Nov. 14-17, 1963). The stamps were released on Nov. 13, 1967. Featured on the three stamps are the Queen's portrait and the Arms of Malta, the Queen in the robes of the Order of St. Michael and St. George, and the Queen's portrait and a map of Malta.

This item is a First Day Cover (envelope with stamp cancelled on the first day of issue) with a souvenir sheet cancelled on October 12, 1981 with a Barbuda postmark. The souvenir sheet was originally issued by Antigua, but then overprinted in silver (with "Barbuda") for use in Barbuda (Barbuda is a dependency of Antigua). The single self-adhesive stamp within the sheet features Prince Charles and Lady Diana following their engagement (2/24/81).

This set of eight mint stamps was issued by the British Virgin Islands on Aug. 26, 1985 to commemorate the 85th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. This set of six mint stamps was issued by Montserrat (a British Crown Colony in the West Indies) on November 17, 1982 to commemorate the Royal Wedding (1981) of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. This stamps were overprinted with "O.H.M.S." (On His/Her Majesty's Service) and re-valued to convert them into official stamps for Post Office internal use; they were not sold to the public. $4.00 retail value.

The 25th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II is commemorated on this mint, imperforate, airmail souvenir sheet issued by Equatorial Guinea in 1978. Included in the design is a coronation day (June 2, 1953) quote from Winston Churchill: "We love her as Queen, and we love her for herself."" The text and portions of the design are printed in reflective gold-colored ink, which usually shows poorly in scanned images.

This mint airmail souvenir sheet from Equatorial Guinea (1978) was issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The design features an artist's rendering of an extended Royal Family group photo.

This attractively engraved mint stamp memoralizes the American actress who became Princess of Monaco. Grace Kelly made eleven films, including "The Country Girl," for which she won an Academy Award, before retiring to marry Prince Rainier.

Between 1967 and 1969, Monaco issued three two-stamp sets that honored past princes of the country. Each stamp features a painting of the depicted prince. Burundi issued this mint set of four stamps in memory of President John F. Kennedy and Burundi Prince Louis Rwagasore on January 21, 1966 (Scott catalogue #B23-6). The stamps feature portraits of both leaders, President Kennedy and library shelves, Prince louis and memorial, and King Mwambutsa IV at President Kennedy's grave in Arlington.
