The stamps and the sheet selvage feature portraits of Lincoln; a portion of the handwritten text from Lincoln's Gettysburg Address (delivered on Nov. 19, 1863) is shown in the background on the sheet selvage. Price: $6.45   Item ID: AV35 Military Heroes of the Air Mint Sheet of 16 stamps Marshall Islands, 2009 Details  The Marshall Islands (former U.S. Trust Territory) paid tribute to U.S. military heroes of the air with the release of this mint sheet of 16 stamps on April 28, 2009. 15 heroes are represented (their names are inscribed on the stamps). The stamp in the bottom right-hand corner features a Marshall Islands map, birds, outrigger canoe, and dolphin. United States, 1948 Details  Issued on October 27, 1948, this mint stamp marked the 50th anniversary of the Rough Riders, the Army's First U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment. Commanded by Col. Leonard Wood and Lt. Col. Details  Issued on Feb. 26, 1946 this mint stamp honored the achievments of the U.S. Merchant Marine in World War II.
