Isle of Man paid tribute to American patriot William Christian, who was Patrick Henry's brother-in-law and the son of a manx-man (a native of the Isle of Man), with the release of this mint sheet of four stamps on March 12, 1976. This sheet commemorates the American bicentennial and features Christian listening to patrick Henry, carrying Fincastle Resolutions to Williamsburg, Col. Patrick Henry & Lt. Col. William Christian of the 1st Virginia Regiment, and Christian as frontiersman with indians.
