Colonial Communication. Details  Issued between February and September of 1973, this set of four mint stamps commemorates the role of communications in spurring the American Revolution. The stamps feature pamphlets being printed on a press, posting of a broadside (message), a colonial post rider, and a drummer summoning minutmen. Price: $1.60   Item ID: AM15 United States Bicentennial. Boston Tea Party. Details  The Boston Tea Party, the historical event that preceeded the American Revolutionary War, is attractively depicted on this attached block of four mint stamps. The United States issued these stamps was July 4, 1973. Price: $1.85   Item ID: AM16 United States Bicentennial. Contributors to the Cause. Details  This set of four mint stamps, issued by the United States on March 25, 1975, honors the following four heroes of the American Revolutionary War: Sybil Ludington ("youthful heroine"), Salem Poor ("gallant soldier"), Haym Solomon ("financial hero"), and Peter Francisco ("fighter extraordinary"). Inscriptions on the back of each stamp (in emerald green; under the gum) briefly tell the story of the individual featured on the fron of the stamp. United States, 1976 Details  Together, this strip of three mint stamps was designed after a painting by Archibald M. Willard. The painting is in Abbot Hall, Marblehead, Massachussets. Details  This 50-stamp mint sheet, issued by the United States on February 23, 1976, includes the flag of each state on separate stamps. The flags are arranged in the order of the state's admission to the union. Each stamp includes the inscription "Bicentennial Era 1776 - 1976" and the U.S. Bicentennial emblem.
